OBEDIENCE IS THE FOUNDATION OF A GOOD COMPANION

Obedience training is the foundation for the development of a sound pet, service dog, and for all performance activities such as tracking, agility, and other activities. Because of the German Pinscher's strong will, intelligence, and independent nature, obedience training is a must for their development as a good companion. These same traits also ensure the outstanding working ability of the German Pinscher.

There are several levels of AKC obedience titles: Novice (CD), Open (CDX) and Utility (UD). A higher level of competition was added in recent years, which includes Utility Excellent (UDX) and Obedience Trial Champion (OTCH).

Windamir's Touch'e, CD (Lazar des Charmettes CD x Windamir Deja vu Charmettes) He is owned by Eleanor A. Vesel.
Windamir's Hunter, UD ((Lazar des charmettes CD x Riwards Hopi Kikopelli) Owned by Georgia Welch, Hunter is the first German Pinscher to earn an AKC CD, CDX and UD. He also has two legs on his UDX.
Ch. Lazar Des Charmettes, CD (Duck De La Capelliere x GiGi De La Capelliere) Lazar attained his CD in three shows getting his third leg at the Old Dominion KC September 29, 2002. He was shown by his owner Sharon Margon.
Lankers a Black Wind Rising, CD, TD (Reagalane Red Cinder x Blazers Mademoiselle En Rouge) Mariah earned her CD on August 25, 2002. She completed her three legs with two class placements of 4th. Mariah was trained and handled by Elizabeth White.
Ch Windamir-Savana des Charmettes CDX, RN (Windamir's O'Lay - Ibex's Rising Phenix) Handled by owner Sharon Gregory, Savana earned her CD title in 3 consecutive shows with 2 class placements of 3rd and 4th on March 27, 2004.
Blue Banners Magnum, CD RA (Windamir's O'Lay - Ch Blue Banners Two For Tea NJP) Magnum earned his CD on Saturday, August 6. He is owned, loved, and handled by Debbie Kaminski and bred by Betsy Spilis.
Ch Blue Banners High Noon, CD AXP AJP (Ch Lazar Des Charmettes CD - Ch Blue Banners Two For Tea NJP) Shooter is the first AKC agility titlist. Shown by his owner, Betsy Spilis, Shooter has an outstanding agility record. He continues to prove his working ability by earning his CD in one weekend at the huge Cleveland Crown Classic shows, December 2005. Shooter has shown the public that the German Pinscher can be an outstanding working dog.
AKC/UKC Ch Riwards Bluebanner Mae West CD (Ch Blue Banner High Noon CD RN AXP AJP x Ch Riwards Rikki Marie) Mia gave a solid performance in Novice B obedience to earn her Companion Dog title at the Cleveland Classic 12/14/06. Yes! Beauty and brains.
