The GPCA suggests that all German Pinschers used for breeding be OFA or Penn Hip certified as passing for hips and CERF certified as passing for eyes (for the years they are bred) . Visit the OFA and CERF sites to see their listing of German Pinschers who are certified. The GPCA board is confident that all club breeders will live up to high moral standards and will do all in their power to place our beloved German Pinschers in the best possible environment. The GPCA encourages breeders to health test and temperament test. All dogs should be micro-chipped, with the breeder as the second contact person, and all breeders should have in their contracts that they will take back the puppy/dog for life if need be.
